Tradition. Modernity. Style.

The simple, clean designs of Bottega Veneta sunglasses create an aspirational elegance for its wearers.

The process

Since 2018 the Italian fashion house has been led by Creative Director Daniel Lee. Lee, who previously worked at Celine, has returned the brand to its roots: well-crafted items, logoless and simple designs. For each pair of glasses conception, the team begins by researching colors and materials to connote the brand’s strong identity. Lee and his team seek to create designs that are both authentic and iconic: once this is agreed upon, the task of deciding the eyewear’s materials begins. Each potential material is analyzed, touched, and valued, before deciding on the correct production path which stays true to the brand.

The styles

Playing with revisited Wayfarers, confident unisex styles, and ultra-glamorous cat-eyes, Bottega Veneta successfully balances the contemporary with the past. Colors range from brights to metals to transparents; the acetates feature the house’s famous ‘intrecciato’ design. This is discreet elegance with a sophisticated style.

The details

Exquisite details are the finishing touch to each pair of glasses. Some of the most noted particulars include the fringed ribbon detailing on the arms, exclusive hinge designs, the name and logo subtly printed on the inside of the temples, and anti-slip ridges on the tips.

Bottega Veneta’s sunglasses have been worn by style icons including Pernille Teisbaek and Salma Hayek. Slip-on a pair of these sleekly designed glasses for a style that knows no bounds.
