At the beginning, the four friends behind MYKITA couldn’t find eyewear that was designed the way they wanted, so they decided to develop their own brand. Beginning in a former children’s daycare, or Kita in German, the Berlin-based house started with a small batch production of metal frames that were simple, functional and artistic.
Almost two decades later, this design ethos continues to be of the utmost importance for the brand, with every frame being made in MYKITA haus in Berlin’s creative Kreuzberg neighborhood.
