'Dress how you want, and feel good doing it' was the crystal clear motto that echoed through the streets of Paris Men’s Fashion Week last month. With the sun out, sunglasses became a pivotal piece of every attendee’s ensemble. From timeless black frames to ‘90s throwback shades, we’ve gathered our favorite eyewear trends that marked this fashion month’s street style.

Statement black sunglasses

If anything is a French style staple, it’s certainly an all-black look. Paired with a minimalist silk dress or a nondescript button-up, black, oversized shades perfect chic dressing without much effort.

Retro shades

Still one of fashion’s favorite eras of inspiration, ‘50s-esque eyewear is often spotted both on the runway and off-stage. Notable by their square-shaped frames with rounded edges and muted colorways, this retro look was spotted everywhere. Prime example? Justin Timberlake, who arrived at the Louis Vuitton Menswear show in Garrett Leight’s Broadway sunglasses.

‘90s rectangular sunglasses

Inspired by the cool-kid styling of the decade, sleek rectangle sunglasses add a playful edge to your look. More minimalist dressers are probably already fans of the silhouette in black, while more experimental colorways infuse a fresh touch into your summer wardrobe.

White-rimmed frames

White-framed sunglasses keep a colorful outfit crisp. Giving off an ‘80s inflection, it's a colorway that goes with even the most eclectic of looks.
