Barton Perreira Sunglasses
Hand-crafted sunglasses made for a lifetime
Founders Patty Perreira and Bill Barton are striving to make the best eyewear in the world with Barton Perreira sunglasses. With decades of combined experience in the optical business, both designing and leading global eyewear brands, the two are well-equipped to successfully achieve this objective.
Both Patty and Bill have years of senior experience in the eyewear market. Patty Perreira is known for her elegant, versatile and soulful designs which have been featured in Vera Wang, Prada and Miu Miu - just to name a few. Bill Barton instead began his career as an optician, where he learned the intricacies of the eyewear industry and the value of human connection, before going on to become the CEO of one of the biggest eyewear brands in the world for nearly 20 years. In 2007 the two united their strengths and founded Barton Perreira, seeking to create an independent eyewear label that has a different perspective of opticals.
One thing both founders were united on was their commitment to quality and their desire to invest in craftsmanship. They ensured that the brand was to use only the finest Japanese artisans who were as passionate about detail as they were. Each pair of frames is hand-crafted and takes between 6 and 7 weeks to refine, before being ready for customers. This is responsible luxury, one that takes a stand against fast-fashion; these are sunglasses which are designed to be worn season after season, year after year.
The finer details
Barton Perreira glasses are timeless and with a hint of vintage about them. On their classic designs there is always a detail that makes them stand out. Designed to be effortlessly wearable by as many people as possible, they are also incredibly comfortable. Glasses have frames made in metal - ultra-lightweight titanium and lightweight zyl - and lenses include anti-reflective coating and signature Barton Perreira engraving at the temples. The most recent collections also feature VIOFF, a backside AR coating, a new technology that offers superior protection from harmful UV light. The premium lenses used are created through a hand-dipped, double staged process that takes days to perfect the stunning gradient of color.
