Cutler and Gross was founded in 1969 by Graham Cutler and Tony Gross. The two men had met each other at optometry school before opening their store in London. With their bespoke approach, it was not long before the brand caught the attention of a style savvy public.

 

Cutler and Gross eyeglasses are still designed in London and produced in Northern Italy. Each frame undergoes a 42-step process that takes 12 weeks. With their sartorial allure, design recalls a timeless elegance that hasn’t been lost through the years. In Tony Gross’s words, ‘‘It’s nice if glasses can be sexy and mysterious. People who need glasses don’t have to feel separated from glamour.”
