Embrace your individuality
Contrasting ideas come together and meet in perfect harmony with Gucci sunglasses: modern vs retro, romantic vs sexy, progressive vs classical. Eye-catching mixes for daring personalities.
From leather goods to global fashion house
Accessories are where Gucci began when founder Guccio Gucci first started the fine leather goods brand in Florence in 1921. Over the course of the next 30 years, the company went on to open shops in Rome, Milan, and Florence, before going global in 1953 with the launch of the New York store. However, it wasn’t until Creative Director Tom Ford took the reins in 1994 that the brand was completely revolutionized, developing perfumes, watches and the eyewear arm.
A return to its Italian roots
After 20 years at the helm of Gucci, Tom Ford decided to step down and left a big hole where he once ruled. The person that filled the space was Italian Alessandro Michele. Michele is the essence of the modern Gucci brand, mixing colors, patterns and shapes to replace the once clean lines of Ford. In Alessandro Michele’s vision, “there is no distinction between old and new things, only beautiful things”. The clash of periods and styles fuse together in his exaggerated luxury.
Following the defining aesthetics of the fashion house, Gucci sunglasses come in an eclectic range of styles: from classic aviators to cat-eye frames, there’s a model for every sartorial lover. All of the distinctive glasses are made from the finest, hand-picked materials, but it is the Italian craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail that really sets them apart.
